About Irene
Irene Guanill has dedicated her life to service and community advocacy in The Bronx. As a resident, she understands the challenges and opportunities facing District 82. Her commitment to integrity and progress drives her passion to represent you.
Irene Guanill has 25 years of housing experience, has been an advocate to protect homeownership, homeowners, tenants and landlords. Landlords and tenants function best when they communicate, advocate and protect each other. Today it seems as if they are on opposite sides. This is not true. Both the tenants and the landlords function best when they work together. I hear the noise but I also witness great relationships between landlords and tenants. Where they are equally part of the community and supporting each other. I am sure there is good and bad on both sides but for the most part these relationships need to be on the same side and working together. All the landlords and tenants I speak with do agree and are open to building positive communication and maintaining a healthy community.
